1977年、16歳のときにバンド “LAZY”（レイジー）でプロデビュー。
「赤頭巾ちゃん御用心」「DREAMER（ドリーマー）」などの名曲を残し、ＬＡＺＹ解散後はソロシンガーとして活動。
1985年スーパー戦隊シリーズ『電撃戦隊チェンジマン』の主題歌でアニメ・特撮ソングデビュー。
『聖闘士星矢』の主題歌「聖闘士神話～ソルジャードリーム」や1989年『ドラゴンボールZ』のオープニング曲「CHA-LA HEAD-CHA-LA」は
130万枚のセールスを記録。以後、世界的に有名なアニメ・特撮ソングを歌い、担当したアニメソングは1000曲を超えている。
2000年に設立されたアニソン界のスーパーユニット“JAM Project”のリーダーとして活動。
近年では海外のアニメイベントにも多数出演し、ロサンゼルス、 パリ、アブダビなど世界各国のイベントに出演。
また、作詞・作曲・編曲・プロデュースをこなすアニソンアーティストとして、J-POPアーティストやバーチャルライバーに楽曲を提供するなど、
数々のプロジェクトに参加し精力的に活動している。
At the age of 16, Hironobu Kageyama made his professional debut as a part of the band LAZY in 1977.
Kageyama began his career as a solo singer when LAZY disbanded after releasing hits such as “Akazukin Chan Goyoujin” and “DREAMER.”
In 1985, he sang his first anime/tokusatsu (special effects) theme song for Dengeki Sentai Changeman of the Super Sentai series.
He also sang “Saint Shinwa Soldier Dream,” the main theme song of Saint Seiya, and in 1989, he sang Dragon Ball Z’s opening theme song, “CHA-LA-HEAD-CHA-LA,” which had a record sale of 1.3 million copies. Since then, he has sung over 1,000 anisong, including iconic and internationally famous anime and tokusatsu songs.
He is the leader of JAM PROJECT, a behemoth in the anisong world formed in 2000.
He has also performed at numerous anime events in cities around the world, including Los Angeles, Paris, Abu Dhabi, and more.
An anisong artist who can write lyrics, compose, arrange, and produce music, Kageyama is actively involved in various projects,
providing songs for J-pop artists and virtual streamers.
