「アニソン界」を代表する実力派シンガーによって、2000年に立ち上げられたスーパーユニット。世界に誇る進歩した日本のアニメーションに見合う主題歌を作り歌っていきたいと、シンガー達自らが立ち上がり、集結。アニメやゲームに付随した主題歌文化に磨きをかけていきたいという欲望をもってJAM Projectは「アニソン」というジャンルの中で独自の地位を築く。
現在では、メンバー自らが主題歌の「曲づくり」にも携わり、プロデューサーや監督達との打合せ、楽曲制作、ディレクションと「作品」=「主題歌」を目指して、常に制作者と表現者を兼ねて邁進している。現在までに200曲以上を発表。メンバーは個人でも活躍する中、互いに刺激しあい、一人一人の豊かな個性が一つの名のもとに集うことで、JAM Projectならではのパワフルでスピリットあふれた「真の主題歌」を作り上げる。
2008年には、“No Border”というタイトルのもと初のワールドツアー(台北・サンパウロ・ボルチモア・ソウル・北京・上海・香港・メキシコシティ・パリ・バルセロナ)を世界10都市にて実行。日本の本格的なアニソンライブを世界中に届けるべく、2012年にはバンドを引き連れ、南米ツアー(ブラジル・ペルー・アルゼンチン・チリ)を行うなど、アニソン界最強のユニットが日本だけではなく世界に向けて「パワフル」で「ハイクオリティ」な歌を届けてきた。
老若男女を問わず幅広い年齢層の支持を持ち続け、結成20周年をむかえた2020年、新型コロナウイルス感染の拡大により、予定していた全国ツアーの全公演中止を余儀なくされるも、アニソン界を牽引する同志らと共にオンラインアニソンフェス“20th Anniversary Special JAM FES.”を開催。2021年2月、キャリア初のドキュメンタリー映画「GET OVER -JAM Project THE MOVIE-」をTOHOシネマズをはじめ全国33館の劇場でロードショー。コロナ禍においてもその存在感をもってアニソン界に勇気を与えた。

Founded in 2000, JAM Project is a behemoth in the Anisong world launched by superb singers who are cream of the crop in the industry. JAM Project is a group of singers who came together to create and sing theme songs that are fitting for the high quality of Japanese anime, which has evolved to be adored all around the world. With their desire to refine the culture around the “theme song” of Anime and Games, they have carved themselves a unique position in the Anisong genre.
Currently, the members themselves are also involved in the creation of these theme songs; meeting with producers and directors, creating music, and directing. They strive to be both creators and performers, always having in mind that these theme songs are works of art. So far, they have released over 200 songs. While the members are also active individually, they greatly inspire each other, and the rich individuality of each member come together under one name to create “True Theme Songs”, filled with power and spirit, unique to JAM Project.
In 2008, the group embarked on their first world tour No Border, performing at 10 cities around the globe (Taipei, São Paulo, Baltimore, Seoul, Beijing, Shanghai, Mexico City, Paris, and Barcelona). To show the world the authentic Japanese Anisong live performance experience, they have continued to deliver “powerful” and “high quality” songs to both Japan and the world as the greatest Anisong unit, including a tour of South America (Brazil, Peru, Argentina, Chile) in 2012, with a live band in tow.
While having continued to receive support from fans of all genders and age groups, they were forced to cancel their 20th anniversary Japan tour due to the spread of COVID-19. Despite this great hardship, they held the 20th Anniversary Special JAM FES, an online Anisong festival, together with other influential artists. In February 2021, they released their first documentary film of their career GET OVER -JAM Project THE MOVIE-. Their presence was felt even during the COVID-19 pandemic and gave courage to the Anisong industry.
In 2022, they announced the ultimate concept EP THE JUDGEMENT, which hopes to revive the world from the pandemic and the state of the world.
“Anisong” transcends borders, musical genres, and other countless boundaries. JAM Project’s vocal performances, like the protagonist of an anime, always look to turn “dreams” into reality.
