アニメ専門チャンネル「アニマックス」にて2007年夏特番として行われた「第1回全日本アニソングランプリ」において、
その圧倒的な歌唱力で見事グランプリを受賞し、アニソンシンガーとしてのデビュー権を獲得。
2008年2月27日、TVアニメーション『PERSONA~trinity soul~』(TOKYO MX.MBS他放送)のオープニング曲「Breakin'through」でデビュー。
TVアニメ『夏目友人帳』OP「一斉の声」やTVアニメ『世界一初恋』シリーズ,
TVアニメ『牙狼-VANISHING LINE-』第2クールオープニング主題歌「HOWLING SWORD」など、数々のアニメ主題歌のボーカルを担当。
コンポーザーやコーラスとしても活躍し、幅広いジャンルをこなす。

Shuhei Kita won First Place in the ANIMAX 2007 summer special "The 1st All Japan Anisong Grand Prix" with his outstanding and overwhelming vocal skills, earning him the right to debut as an anisong singer.
He debuted on February 27, 2008, with "Breakin' through," the opening theme song for the TV animation Persona-Trinity Soul, which was broadcasted on TOKYO MX, MBS, etc.
Since then, he has been providing vocals for theme songs of various anime series such as "Issei no Sei," the opening song of Natsume's Book of Friends,"HOWLING SWORD",
the opening theme song for the 2nd cours of GARO-VANISHING LINE- as well as songs for the Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi-World's Greatest First Love series.
He is active as a composer and chorus member and has been expanding his activities.
