作詞・作曲・編曲を手掛けるマルチ音楽コンポーザー。
1993年、「See-Saw」のコンポーザー兼キーボーディストとしてデビュー。2002年、「機動戦士ガンダムSEED」のED『あんなに一緒だったのに』がヒット。
現在はアニメを中心とした劇伴音楽を手掛け、『ソードアート・オンライン』『魔法少女まどか☆マギカ』『鬼滅の刃』等、数々の話題作を担当。
また、ボーカル・ユニット「Kalafina」を全面的にプロデュースし、リリースした5作のアルバムと2枚のベストアルバム全てをTop10入りさせるなど
世界中にその名を轟かす。
2020年には作詞（共作：ＬiSA）・作曲を手掛けた『劇場版「鬼滅の刃」-無限列車編-』の主題歌「炎」（歌：LiSA）が第62回日本レコード大賞を受賞。
翌年発表された第44回日本アカデミー賞「最優秀音楽賞」を椎名豪氏と共に受賞した。
アニメ作品以外にも、北野武監督・主演映画『アキレスと亀』やNHK歴史番組『歴史秘話ヒストリア』、
NHK連続テレビ小説『花子とアン』などの音楽も担当。
デビュー30周年を迎えた2023年には個人プロジェクト「FictionJunction」のアルバム、『PARADE』を9年ぶりにリリース。
また2008年より世界規模で開催している劇伴音楽と歌物をミクスチャーした独自のライブ「Yuki Kajiura LIVE」では
30周年を記念して初の武道館２Days公演『Kaji Fes.2023』を開催した。

FictionJunctionは、マルチ音楽コンポーザー梶浦由記のソロプロジェクトである。
Fiction(創作する)とJunction(交差・接合する)を組み合わせたこのプロジェクトは、梶浦由記が全ての曲とアレンジを手掛け(Fiction)
それらと楽曲毎にフィーチャリングしたボーカリスト等と交差・接合(Junction)することによって、
新たなパフォーマンスを世に送り出すプロジェクトとして2004年、YUUKAボーカルによる「暁の車」でスタートした。
Yuki Kajiura is a versatile music composer who writes lyrics and composes and arranges music.
In 1993, she debuted as the composer and keyboardist of Japanese pop band See-Saw. In 2002, “Anna ni Issho Datta no ni,” the ending theme song of Mobile Suit Gundam SEED, became a hit.
At present, she creates music mainly for anime. She has worked on numerous popular titles, such as Sword Art Online, Puella Magi Madoka Magica, and Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.
Kajiura entirely produced the vocal unit Kalafina. The unit released five albums and two greatest hits albums, all of which reached the top 10 in the music charts, making the group’s name known worldwide.
In 2020, she composed the music and wrote the lyrics for “Homura” (co-written and performed by LiSA), the theme song of Demon Slayer: Mugen Train the Movie.
The song won the grand prize at the 62nd Japan Record Awards.
The following year, she won the Best Music Award, along with Shiina Go, at the 44th Japan Academy Awards.
Besides anime, she has made music for programs such as the film Achilles and Tortoise, directed by and featuring Takeshi Kitano (Beat Takeshi), the NHK historical documentary series Rekishi Hiwa Historia,
and the TV drama Hanako and Anne, among others.
In 2023, which marked her 30th debut anniversary, she released PARADE from her project “FictionJunction,” her first album in nine years.
She also held “Kaji Fes. 2023,” her first two-day concert at the Budokan commemorating her 30th anniversary at “Yuki Kajiura LIVE,” a unique concert mixing film music and vocals that has been held globally since 2008.

FictionJunction is a solo project by versatile music composer Yuki Kajiura.
Combining the words “fiction” (“to create”) with “junction” (“to intersect, connect”), this project takes music created by Kajiura (“fiction”)
and puts it together with solo vocalists and others (“junction”), presenting a new style of performance to the world.
The project began in 2004 with the song “Akatsuki no Kuruma” with YUUKA as vocals.
